Frequently Asked Questions
Many of my clients book in the second trimester and some as soon as they find out they are pregnant. The earlier, the better to ensure you get on the calendar. We will schedule your due date on the calendar. Baby's rarely come when they are due, so we will choose the date of your session based on my availability after your baby is born. Newborn session take place Monday - Friday starting at 9 or 10am as babies are more sleepy at that time!
Yes, I have Caden Lane outfits available as well as knitted outfits for your little one. You are certainly welcome to use your outfits too! I want to make sure this sessions reflections you and your style.
Any room that we will be photographing in, I recommend to remove all clutter. Think simple is more. you can even place item in your closet for the session if you think they will be distracting.
These sessions are usually 1-2 hours long. This allows for feeding, diapers changes and anything else that may take place during the session. I want you to feel comfortable and not rushed.
There can be different reasons we may not be able to capture your fresh 48 session. In this case, we would plan for an in-home session as a plan B. Then you will still have beautiful photos to cherish in the comfort of your home.
Fresh 48 sessions are done in the hospital in the first 48 hours of life. In home sessions are done in the first 2-3 weeks of life and are less time sensitive than a studio newborn session. These typically take place in the morning or early afternoon.
That’s totally okay! In home newborn photography and hospital newborn photography is flexible and designed to follow your baby’s needs. Feeding, cuddling, or soothing moments can also create some of the most heartfelt images.
In crafting lifestyle images, I prefer a lighter touch in retouching to maintain an authentic and organic feel that perfectly complements the essence of each session.

After consultation, I will send you a contract to be signed and a guide to prepare you for your photoshoot. You will need to pay a retainer to secure the date for your session.

Two weeks after your photo shoot, you will receive the best images from your session electronically to download.
Beautiful Photos
Once I deliver your photos, you will receive a print release form and in your gallery, you can order prints from professional print labs to be delivered to your home.

Working with Ashley at Little Hauflings for our baby’s newborn photo shoot was absolutely the best! Her communication leading up to our day was excellent with multiple emails and she was always quick to respond back for any questions I had. Her studio has so many options of newborn wraps, outfits, headbands, backdrops, etc that it made the day so low stress for us since all my husband and I really needed to do was dress ourselves and show up. Once we arrived and took our family pictures, then we could sit back and relax because she was excellent at safely handling our baby and keeping her comfortable the whole time. The photos were beyond everything we could have hoped for and we’ll cherish for years to come! If you’re considering booking her, just do it!

I can’t say enough great thing about Little Hauflings! From the start, Ashley was quick and responsive to my inquiry as well as answered all my questions! During the newborn session, Ashley was all about attention to detail and provided us with so many options of what props we wanted to use.
