I was excited to capture beautiful baby Mae’s first birthday cake smash photoshoot. Mae is such a happy little girl! She was so happy just sitting and smiling at her mom’s silly sounds and faces. She wasn’t a huge fan of her cake, so her mom hid some goldfish snacks on the back of her cake. Snacks are one of my favorite tricks to help babies have more interest in smashing their birthday cake. Mae loved the bathtub after her cake, and she gave us some of the best smiles! I just love all of Mae’s gorgeous hair and the beautiful headband her mom brought from Bloom Headwraps.

Cake smash sessions so much fun to capture! Each baby has their own reaction to their cake. Even if the cake wasn’t favorite, babies usually enjoy the bathtub, and the best part is parents go home with a clean baby!
