When her mama reached out to me for a cake smash for her 5th birthday, I was so excited! She had a vision for pastels and a retro vibe with a ferris wheel. I found the backdrop she was looking for and she brought her outfit for her daughter.

We started out with some cotton candy and fun posing before the cake. Isn’t she just a beautiful little 5 year old?

Her mama also brought some adorable retro skates for her to wear as well. Since she was not an experienced roller skater, her mom and I helped her move from pose to pose.

Now for the best part, the CAKE! I always recommend purchasing cake from Sifted Sugar cake co. and her mom purchased cotton candy cake! Ill be honest, I didn’t even know that was a thing! So perfect for this pastel 5 year old cake smash! You can see she had a blast eating her cotton candy.

We finished her session with a few more poses and I would say it was a total blast! More families should do a cake smash with older kiddos. They will remember all the fun they had doing it and want to do it again and again!
