Why I believe the Genesis Birth Center is the best choice for you and your little one

As a professional newborn photographer, I get to meet a lot of new parents and their little ones. It also means that I get to see a lot of local birthing units. None have impressed me as much as the state of the art Genesis Birth Center in Davenport.

With caring counselling and medical support during your pregnancy through to after your baby is born. These advanced nurses specialize in minimal intervention but high safety – perfect for all new mothers and their babies, whatever your birthing plan may be.

Genesis just feels like home – it offers the widest variety of comforts and pain relief during labor (something you will forever thank yourself for later), and new mothers can even order their home comforts, like their favorite Starbucks drink, right to their room.

What makes the Genesis Birth Center really special is how much they prioritize making mom and baby feel at home. After every delivery, the center gives the new parents and their baby a “Golden Hour”. This is where the new family can bond with their baby, and with lots of skin on skin contact. It’s the perfect way for your baby to adapt to life outside the womb, and for the family to bond in private.

Speaking of privacy, new mothers at the Genesis Birthing Center stay in a large, private room all to themselves. When you’ve gone through labor, this calm space for yourself and your baby is invaluable. It’s here, new moms have their newborn photos taken, right in their private room – which is where I come in!

On top of all its advanced facilities, I can personally confirm that Genesis Birth Center is simply one of the most magical places in the world. As a newborn photographer, I not only get to see the magic first hand, but capture it forever.

The best thing about my role as a newborn photographer? I love snuggling fresh babies! They are so sweet – and they’re only tiny for a short time.
