How to Choose The Perfect Time for Your Maternity Session

Are you pregnant and looking for a Quad City maternity photographer to capture your beautiful bump?

If so, you may be wondering what is the perfect time for your maternity session. Many people choose to have their maternity session around 30-34 weeks along in their pregnancy. This is because they are far enough along that their baby bump will be visible, but they won’t yet be too uncomfortable during the session. Keep reading for more tips on when to have your Quad Cities maternity session!

As you carry this new life inside of yourself, feelings are sure to come up.

There’s excitement as the due date approaches and then finally arrives – it feels like just yesterday that they were announcing your pregnancy! The whole world becomes focused on how much things have changed since then: buying baby clothes or setting up a nursery at home; packing hospital bags for delivery day… It doesn’t matter if their name isn’t even announced yet because in an instant everything will change again when they make their grand arrival.

If you are pregnant, now is the perfect time to take advantage of having your maternity photos taken before turning 360 degrees in life.

A specialized Bettendorf Maternity session will capture all those special moments leading up until and after giving birth- whether they be stories about what growing a bump has been like or just capturing where we currently stand as new moms on this journey called motherhood!

We all know that babies are on their own time, but it still feels like a mix of art and science to figure out the perfect time to schedule for your Quad City maternity session. If you would like to connect and see recent maternity session, Here is a link to my Facebook page.

Throughout a maternity session, we aim to capture your beautiful pregnant form.

This window of time accounts for the contours and unique characteristics that are present during this phase in life – when you’re feeling great yet still have some flexibility left without being worried about going into labor anytime soon!

If you’re beyond 34 weeks, baby may have dropped in preparation for their grand arrival. This can limit the types of poses we can do because oftentimes mommies-to-be don’t feel as comfortable. Also, if you are further along, there is a higher chance of going into labor before your scheduled session date. If you are further along than 34 weeks, please let me know as soon as possible.

Here are a few other things to consider when planning your maternity session:

– Are you comfortable in front of the camera? If not, we can do some posed shots as well as lifestyle shots. Posed maternity photos don’t have to be cheesy or uncomfortable – they can actually be really beautiful!

– What type of clothing do you want to wear? Dresses, gowns, and lingerie are all popular options.

– Do you have a partner or child that you want to be in the photos with you? This is great for capturing your family before baby arrives.

– Will it be hot during your maternity session? If so, this may impact what clothing items you choose to wear if we are doing an outdoor on-location maternity session. I also have a beautiful studio available where weather conditions are no matter!

As you can see, there are a lot of things to consider when planning your maternity session! But don’t worry – As your Davenport, IA maternity photographer, I’m here to help every step of the way. If you have any questions or want more advice, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
